As a Senior Graphic Designer at Priorities USA, I worked with a team of designers and art directors to create over 7,200 unique pieces of creative for a $153m paid program in support of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. Our program increased Biden’s statewide margins by 1.25% in key battleground states while decreasing Trump’s approval by 2.4%.
VOTE BY MAIL
We knew it would be imperative to convey to voters that voting by mail was the safest and easiest way to vote in 2020, primarily due to the COVID-19 pandemic. To accomplish this we created a fully branded campaign around voting by mail.
Led the art direction for various social ads and assisted in the design of campaign branding.
HOLDING TRUMP ACCOUNTABLE
We worked to move undecided voters away from Trump. The purpose of our ads was to show how Trump’s chaotic leadership and policy failures on issues like the coronavirus, health care, and the economy directly hurt people’s lives, and why a steady, stable leader like Joe Biden was critical in a crisis.
COUNTERING MISFORMATION & MOBILIZING VOTERS
In a time of blatant misinformation is was critical to create a mobilization campaign to address these issues. Our ads gave people incredibly important information about the voting process and directing them to a voter hotline.
TAKING BACK THE SENATE
Not only did Priorities USA set out to take back the White House, we knew it was just as important to take back the Senate as well. The organization deemed three Senate races to the most vulnerable and used all our resources to flip them from Republican to Democrat. As a Senior Graphic Designer, I was designated to lead the design and creative direction for all campaigns in these crucial Senate races.
